The ideal candidate should possess experience in the scrap recycling industry, ocean export or freight forwarding experience.
Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are general duties; the actual duties required of this position may vary.
-Processing ocean export shipments from supplier’s facilities to the pier / rail ramp
-Communication with ocean carriers, suppliers, and various departments within the company
-Requesting and compiling rates for trucking, (dray, OTR, trans-load)
-Tracking inventory of material bought and sold
-Making bookings with ocean carriers
-Handling ocean freight
-Data entry
Requirements
-Extensive knowledge of trucking and ocean export process
-Ability to solve problems and follow up with issues
-Outstanding attention to detail
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to multi-task, work within time-constraints, and perform under pressure
-Ability to work independently and / or as part of a team
-Strong computer skills
-Cie-Trade experience preferred
-Bachelors degree preferred
